Explanation of Levels

Absolute Beginners

  • Is for the early stages of yoga where you, the students are nurtured while being guided through explorations of breath and movement leading you to feel more centred and grounded in your everyday life.

Active Beginners

  • Active beginners offers you all of the benefits of absolute beginners and is a natural progression for those of you who want a stronger and more active class. The student is guided through the vast amount of poses and breathing exercises that yoga has to offer.

Intermediate

  • As you progress with your yoga its natural for you to be open to challenging yourself a little more and deepening your experience of both breath and body leading you to feeling stronger with increased flexibility. You can expect to challenge your physical limits in an Intermediate class

Types of Yoga

Hatha

  • All yoga that includes a physical experience is hatha yoga

Flow yoga

  • A class where one pose flows naturally into the next through the connection of the breath

Pose by Pose yoga

  • A class where each yoga poses is done as a stand-alone experience, each class is composed of a number of poses that complement each other

Ashtanga

  • A Physically strong form of flow yoga

Warm Flow Yoga

  • Yoga that’s taught in an Infra-red heated room often taught in a flow style with a set sequence of poses
